Where can I find a blank tshirt manufacturer with quality, cut, and style similar to large surf/skate brands?
PLEASE READ TO ANSWER THE QUESTION FULLY:
I have been searching the web for a company that produces blank tshirts that are similar to that of large brands such as O'Neil, Hurley, Quiksilver, DC, etc. in terms of same quality cotton, same thickness, same slim cuts (for men) and so on.
I have seen people recommend turning to places like American Apparel or other mainstream blank shirt companies (Gildan, Hanes, etc) but I dont really feel these are comparable at all. American Apparel would be the closest, but they still dont stack up. Their shirts feel too thin or maybe its the cotton.
Would I have to turn to a manufacturer in China to get what Im looking for specifically? Any other suggestions?
Hi,
If you are thinking of turning to China, quality would be a concern for you. Try registering for a sourcing site like www.globalsources.com, then searching their directories for a suitable supplier.
They have a 'supplier verification' system to weed out the serious exporters from the problematic ones. If you choose one of their 'verified suppliers', you'll get someone who has undergone thorough checks and inspections.
For your specific needs, I believe seeing and touching the shirt quality for yourself should also be vital. If you can make the journey, attend a China Sourcing Fair to meet prospective suppliers face-to-face. It's held in a few locations worldwide, so see if you can decide on the best place and time visit one fair.
Good luck!
